All project‑specific designs, schematics, and firmware created under contract are treated as the intellectual property of the client, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
Fairfield Technology does not reuse or redistribute client‑specific designs without permission.
Separately, Fairfield Technology develops its own reusable hardware modules, firmware components, and software libraries as part of its internal R&D activity. These assets are independently created, carefully documented, and owned by Fairfield Technology.
Where appropriate, such assets may be offered to clients under a clear and explicit licence, allowing proven, production‑ready building blocks to be reused legally and ethically across multiple projects.
This model ensures:
- Clear ownership boundaries
- No ambiguity around client IP
- Ethical reuse of independently developed work
- Faster delivery using well‑understood, validated components
Reusable assets are created deliberately, transparently, and with licensing in mind from the outset.
